A.) During the stories I have read this week, the story that stuck out the most was the one about the girl with Frost that was super greedy. I chose to write about this story because  often times as children, we always seem to think about what we do not have, instead of being grateful for what we do have. The story spoke about how the daughter of Frost was grateful for the clothing she had even though it did not give her much warmth. The other daughter kept complaining every time she was asked, “are you cold?”.  She came back with rude remarks about how she was not warm and that Frost should just fix it. She expected him to do these things for her despite her being greedy and rude. This story really brought to my attention that in our society today, many teens and children and even some adults want things in life to be handed to them. People do not want to have to work for what they own. I was always taught that working hard for what I get it’s better than it being handed to me. Labels, brands, price tags should not matter as long as you like them, deserve them, or worked for them. You can tell  in this story that the way these parents raised their children really differs, I say this because the father and his daughter are really proud of what they own and working for it and even being grateful when they are suffering. However, the mother and her daughter are very greedy. they want things to be handed to them even when they do not deserve them. the Second Story that I looked at was Tibbett the Thirsty frog. This story was about a frog and other animals in their habitat. Tibbett drank all of the water that was for all of the animals to share. in class, in my group, we tried to break down the story in related to society and Cincinnati as a whole.  This was difficult because things that happened in the story does not happen around here.

C.) Does the values and morals that you stand for, come from religion or your parents and what they’ve taught you? I ask this question because I was raised in church and in a house where we would have God. But some things I have been taught, I go against because my outlook on it with religion have changed my mind.
